A comparison of serum levels of uric acid, c-reactive protein and nitric oxide in preeclampsia patients and normal healthy pregnant females

Preeclampsia is a human pregnancy specific multisystem disease of unknown etiology. It major cause maternal mortality, morbidities, perinatal deaths, preterm birth and intrauterine growth restriction. was aimed to find the role Uric Acid, CRP Nitric Oxide in preeclampsia by comparing their levels with normal pregnant females. As its etiology unknown, so it’s early detection follow up required prevent fetal complications A case control study conducted Department Biochemistry Obstetrics Gynaecology, UPUMS Medical College Hospital, Saifai, Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, India. The group includes 50 healthy females patients who were between 20 - 40 years age more than weeks gestation. There significantly (p<0.0001) raised serum uric acid, C-reactive protein decreased nitric oxide as compared : concludes that high low shows important pathogenesis preeclampsia. Their can be considered an indicative markers for severity complications.
